Seize this opportunity to embody our organizational values within our Financial Services team. As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Services you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Financial and Accounting professionals.
What You’ll Do
You’ll act with integrity to :
- Lead the planning, development, and deployment of financial services systems, including system integration, upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.
- Serve as the system administrator for the Administrative Services Integrated Management System (AIMS), including new user setup and training.
System administration includes the following :
- Establishing and maintaining a chart of accounts and other permanent system data.
- Coordinate training and support for WebApps, Financial Analysis, and Purchase Invoices.
- Creating and maintaining user documentation for Financial Services.
- Analyze and prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance-sheet suspense accounts. Communicates with clients to resolve issues.
You’ll support our collaboration as you :
Create, maintain, prepare, and review monthly financial reports for all Assembly Offices and Commissions, while also addressing reporting issues with client and Financial Services staff.
Conduct ongoing reviews of purchasing commitments generated by purchase orders for all clients.
Perform internal audit / quality assurance procedures for the Administrative Services Division (system, procedural, and substantive audits).
Perform additional audit procedures for the Assembly's Office as needed.
Back up for the preparation of the Office of the Assembly's annual external financial reporting submission (to the Ministry of Finance) for Public Accounts Volumes 1 and 3.
Liaise with the Ministry on Public Accounts policies, guidelines, presentation issues, and submission timelines.
- Perform other related tasks as needed. Maintain current knowledge of related skills in order to apply any new technologies or processes that may be required.
