Ski Patrol – Dispatcher

Under the direction of the Patrol Leader, the dispatcher is the main hub of communication for the entire resort. All departments go through dispatch for both regular information and during emergency situations. The dispatcher is responsible for monitoring patients and providing care for extended periods of time if needed, and for ensuring that any patient paperwork is completed correctly. This role is located in the ski patrol base hut.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as main communication contact for all emergencies on the mountain and premises.
• Act as point of contact for any outside resources that are needed, such as EMS, Police, Fire.
• Provide necessary communication to all relevant parties during emergencies and non‑emergencies.
• Work with administration for any staff related accidents.
• Monitor patients and complete paperwork once patients are transported to the patrol hut.
• Ensure the patrol hut is medically stocked with supplies and able to receive patients at any time.
• Collect up‑to‑date terrain condition information from patrol and ensure all relevant parties are updated daily.
• Ensure all guests and staff adhere to the RCR / Nakiska safety guidelines and procedures while on the mountain.
