Altis Recruitment is supporting our client, a top manufacturing company based in Mississauga, in their search for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team.
This is a 12-18 month contract position.
Responsibilities
- Experience with technical accounting, MD&A and preparing accounting memos
- Experience with IFRS standards such as IFRS 15 / 16 / 17
- Knowledge and experience with M&A due diligence including PPA
- Analyze and provide commentary on variances
- Assist in various reporting tasks including P&L, balance sheet, management binder, capex, and intercompany reconciliations
- Analyze P&L results against forecast, budget, and prior year, and report on variances
- Support monthly forecast exercises and annual budget preparations
- Execute month-end close activities, including journal entry analysis, reconciliations, and expense analysis
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide analysis and support to internal and external audit teams
- Continuously assess the environment for process improvements and automation opportunities
- Handle ad hoc analysis and provide general team support
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting in an IFRS environment
- CPA designation or equivalent preferred or working towards completion
- Proficiency in SAP is an asset
- Expertise in MS Office and advanced Excel skills
- Strong ability to work independently
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Leadership skills for cross-functional projects
