Dispatcher

Our client, a multi-provincial transportation company operating across Canada and the United States. They are seeking a motivated and skilled Dispatcher to join their growing team in Calgary.

What You Do:

• Schedule driver routes to ensure optimal utilization of manpower and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain driver safety records and ensure compliance with HOS and safety regulations.
• Manage the daily activities of the fleet and coordinate deliveries and pick-ups.
• Liaise with the maintenance team to schedule inspections and repairs.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance and productivity.
• Maintain active communication with other terminals to optimize resource allocation.
• Stay informed about the products hauled, transportation regulations, and operating authorities.
• Handle clerical duties related to compliance and broker pay.

Who You Are:

• Minimum 2 years of truck dispatching experience required.
• Strong organizational and computer skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, city geography, and fleet management.
• A strong sense of urgency, attention to health and safety standards, and adaptability to flexible work schedules.
• Proficiency in different languages is considered an asset.
