Job description

Responsibilities

Accurate processing of sales orders, quotes and general inquiries
Taking orders in a professional and friendly manner
Assist customer with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints and issues
Schedule delivery times and coordinate with customers and dispatch
Monitor progress of work to ensure schedules are being met
Constantly rework best fit scenario for scheduling
Verify accuracy of customer orders
Provide back up for dispatch as needed
Additional duties as required

Technical Requirements

Previous customer service experience

Familiarity with Halifax Regional Municipality roadways will be considered an asset

Solid computer skills and experience

Previous experience in the concrete, construction and / or trucking industry will be a definite asset

Business Requirements

Strong attention to detail, with knack for anticipating conditions that may impact success

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully manage changing schedules and deadlines

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Cultural Requirements

Flexibility in work schedule (early mornings, days, late evenings) to meet the needs of the business

Some weekend work required (work Saturdays on rotation)

Ability to work comfortably within a high-output high-volume environment, working collaboratively with a diverse workforce
