VTT, a community Jewish day school serving a student body from ages 3 to 13, is currently recruiting Classroom Aides on Call. Candidates need not be Jewish, but must be receptive and open to working in a Jewish day school environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience or training working with children in a classroom setting.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Formal education/training is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to the following:

• Work with students in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis
• Support students in a variety of subject areas with planning, organization and time management
• Maintain student records, follow IEP recommendations, and review strategies
• Prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences
• Work with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
