The Care Company is looking for awesome, self-driven and highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to a complex paediatric home care client who is going to be discharged home from SickKids to Ajax.
Shifts
- 8 hour shifts available, needs care 7 days / week, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule. Applicants must be available for in-person bedside training sessions at SickKids Hospital.
- Someone who can commit to the set schedule mentioned above with no interruptions to set weekly schedule

General Duties and Responsibilities :
This client requires a nurse with a specific set of skills to provide care for the following interventions : PICC line, pain pump management, G-tube (feeds and meds), TPN feeds,IV infusion, meds / narcotics via IV push, DBS for dystonia seizures, oxygenation via NP & suctioningAdhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical NurseProvide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needsMeets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properlyAssists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as requiredObserve the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responsesFunctions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job descriptionCompletes records and documentation accurately and thoroughlyCorrectly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-beingmust be able to commit to a consistent, on-going, weekly schedule of overnight shifts.Nursing Requirements :
