CNC Operator

Teknion Custom Solutions is looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. We are looking for a professional who can bring technical drawings to life while upholding the high-quality standards that define our brand. If you have strong experience with Biesse SCM or Homag CNC machines and a sharp eye for precision we want to hear from you.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate Biesse SCM or Homag CNC machines to produce wood components according to specific work orders and technical drawings.
• Load raw materials onto the machine bed ensuring proper alignment and initiate machining cycles.
• Monitor the machining process to ensure parts are being cut correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the run.
• Be familiar with the start-up and shut-down procedures for the machine and perform the daily weekly and periodical maintenance required to keep the machines in good working order.
• Be aware of the hazards when working around CNC machines and any other tools or equipment used in the area; ensure all safety control measures and guards are used at all times without exception.
• Maintain a general knowledge of veneer species cuts and different matching patterns.
• Stack product being unloaded from the machines so debris or chips in between the layers wont damage the finish.
• Use precision measuring instruments and small tools such as digital calipers hex wrenches chisels and files to verify part accuracy and perform manual adjustments.
• Ensure all products moving through the production process are accompanied by their work order package for detailed instruction.
