Heavy Equipment Technician - Material Handling

Brandt Group of Companies is looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician - Material Handling for our Edmonton location. The role involves performing basic and complex diagnostics, service maintenance, and repair work on customer and dealer‑owned equipment efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic / complex diagnostics and repairs on material handling equipment (forklifts, stackers, electric carts, tow trucks, transporters).
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and necessary repairs on equipment.
• Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records.
• Maintain current product knowledge of equipment specific to industry and location.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly manner.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain thorough understanding of OH&S systems and standards.
• Ensure knowledge and compliance of proper procedure for disposal of hazardous waste material.
• Perform all service tasks assigned by the Material Handling Service Manager or Foreman.
• Participate in service training programs and maintain skills and knowledge.
• Maintain and care for department tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Mentor and oversee apprentices.
• Resolve customer issues to their satisfaction on a timely basis.
