Job Description :

Load, unload, and move product and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products

Pick orders and stock

Make labels and attach to goods

Weigh materials and goods

Wrap goods

Pack and unpack goods

Sort, crate, and stack goods

Install, lash, and secure goods

Store cargo and materials

Transport and distribute materials and goods

Organize and maintain inventory

Build pallets

Ship orders

Provide customer service to customers and truck drivers

Read and decipher billing of lading and invoices in order to load customers

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Work with Operations, Sales and Administration to ensure optimal team performance

Stage customer orders

Double-check loads before they leave the yard

Requirements :

• Education : Completion of secondary school is required.
• Experience : At least 2 years of experience as a material handler is required.
• Forklift experience loading and unloading flat decks and vans is a requirement.

Salary :  $36.00 hourly, 42.5 – 44 Hours per week

Important Information :  The employee will work Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm. During winter, the regular schedule is from 6 am to 3 pm. The schedule includes 30 minutes of unpaid lunch break and 30 minutes of paid healthy breaks. Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts may vary according to the business’ needs. Occasional overtime will be required.
