Position Title : Computer Technician

Reports to : Senior Systems Administrator

Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator, the Computer Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance of IT equipment, and troubleshooting services for the Haisla Nation Council’s computer systems and networks. The Computer Technician ensures that computer systems and related hardware, software and networks operate efficiently and effectively.

We have lived off the land and waters of our traditional territory for thousands of years, and it remains the focus of all we do.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Support :

• Communicate electronically (and in-person) with Haisla Nation users experiencing technical difficulties by troubleshooting and documenting problems.
• Provide technical support to Haisla Nation employees regarding computer hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Maintain record of work performed in ticketing system and escalate issues as needed to other IT Team members or external vendors.
