Position : Full Time $80,000 - $90,000

VettyPet is a fast‑paced start‑up looking for a talented intermediate developer who is up to driving early‑stage growth. We have big plans, have lots to do to get there, and are looking for a developer who wants to get in on the ground floor and build something ambitious with us!

VettyPet is a white‑labelled e‑commerce platform that streamlines veterinary clinic operations while helping them untap unrecognised revenue on product and service sales, allowing clinics to focus on delivering high‑quality, personalised care. In turn, their pet owner clients gain access to a vet‑curated, all‑in‑one marketplace for trusted products, reliable information, and essential services.

We entered the pet care market four years ago with our DTC sister company, Waggle Mail, the first and only vet‑curated dog subscription boxes, fueling the development of cutting‑edge customer interface software and a data analytics platform. We are well on our path to disrupting the pet care industry with a tech‑backed curation‑at‑scale approach. Our data‑centric model and passion for animal health and wellbeing is fueling innovation in the huge market opportunity that is pet care e‑commerce.

Job Duties

• Design, code, and test major features in collaboration with team members to deliver complex changes.
• Define, design, and implement object‑oriented distributed software applications.
• Maintain and modify existing applications, while layering in custom programming solutions.
• Debug or fix defects to help develop amazing software features.
• Provide design documents and documentation to ensure efficient maintenance and code reuse.
• Participate in the design and implementation of databases.
• Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each assignment.
• Own your role : provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process. You get to be a foundational creator.
