A Day in the Life of a General Labourer
As a General Labourer at FIRST ONSITE, your days are filled with fixing things. You're transforming spaces and restoring hope after floods and fires.
From tearing down the old to restoring and rebuilding the new, your day includes wielding hand and power tools like a pro, ;
earning to create smooth-as-butter drywall finishes, or painting the perfect final touch that brings everything together.
Whether you're learning to install a shiny new window or tackling demolition with precision, your attention to detail ensures every project shines.
You'll work alongside a crew of hardworking, fun, and safety-conscious pros who share your drive to deliver top-quality results.
Together, you'll take pride in every nail hammered, and every board laid, knowing you're making a real difference in homes, businesses, and the community.
Qualifications for a General Labourer
- Hands-On Experience : 1-2 years of construction experience to bring your skills to the table.
- Clear Record : Ability to pass a background check - this is non-negotiable!
- Road Ready : A valid Full driver's license to get you to and from project sites - no exceptions.
- Flexibility : Availability for on-call and after-hours shifts - because emergencies don't wait for 9 to 5.
- Physical Readiness : You're up for the challenge of physical labor, including :
- Material handling and heavy lifting
- Climbing ladders like a pro
- Wearing a respirator when needed
- Navigating tight spaces like attics, basements, and crawlspaces
