Position : Certified Nursing Assistant
Location : 7654 N. 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021
Shift : 1st Shift (7 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm)
Pay Rate : $29 - $31.95 / hr
Contract Duration : 1 year (08 / 12 / 2024 - 05 / 23 / 2025)
Work Schedule : Standard, 40 hours per week
Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves working with DeafBlind students, grades K-12, who may have additional disabilities and health needs.
Responsibilities include monitoring and assisting students with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and supporting their educational and health requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor students in the use and care of equipment to prevent injuries.
Observe, record, and maintain student files per Federal, State, and Agency policies.
Assist in lifting and caring for students, which may include toileting, feeding, and hygiene.
Transport students to and from activities / appointments as needed.
Continue professional growth through training sessions / workshops.
Preferred Skills :
American Sign Language (ASL) experience strongly preferred
Previous experience working with children preferred
ASL skills for working with students / staff who are Deaf or hard of hearing preferred
Braille skills for working with students who are blind / visually impaired preferred
Required skills :
At least 1-year of experience as a CNA
CPR / First Aid certification
