Position Summary

Nanalysis is a manufacturer and global supplier of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) products for the laboratory instrumentation market.

Nanalysis is seeking a fixed term contract (maternity cover)  Jr Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator  to manage the company’s supply of products and services for manufacturing and shipment of the company’s products to customers worldwide. Responsibilities of the Jr Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator include integration of inventory management, parts ordering and tracking (including for end of stock and long lead time items), negotiations with vendors and shippers to secure improved rates and faster deliveries, product shipping and tracking, and coordination of information amongst multiple teams.

The Jr Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator will report to the Senior Supply Chain, Fulfillment & Global Operations Manager. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities :

• Purchasing : the prioritization and execution of numerous procurement requests from multiple internal stakeholders
• Procurement : negotiations with external vendors to ensure beneficial terms; review of existing contracts / relationships with vendors and negotiation of improved terms where needed
• Shipping / Logistics : track and manage incoming shipments from procurement and resolve any shipping delays by coordinating with vendor / shipper as required
• Coordination : understand bills of materials and monitor inventory levels in coordination with accounting and production teams
• Communication : collaborate / communicate with key internal stakeholders to ensure clarity of supply chain specifications and expectations of the company to meet sales targets and customer requirements
• Analysis : collection and analysis of data to anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., long lead times, vendor changes, increasing component costs, the need to source new components...)
• Reduce costs : apply supply chain best practices to control expenses and create a culture that supports continuous improvement in parallel with long-term cost reductions

Background and Experience Sought :

Degree / certification in supply chain management, procurement / logistics or equivalent work experience

3 years of supply chain management and / or procurement / logistics experience

Knowledgeable about shipping terms, import / export processes, logistics & inventory management software

Experience ordering electronic boards & components from international suppliers

Experience using Fishbowl purchasing / inventory management software and or equivalent
