JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Auditor is based in Hamilton, ON and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager based in Kelowna, BC. The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for coordination, execution and completion of all the assigned audit activities identified in the QAPM (Quality Assurance Procedures Manual).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out audits as required per KFL audit schedule to verify compliance to regulatory, ISO 9001 and KFL policy requirements
- Review applicable regulations and standards to verify compliance
- Sample work orders for accuracy, completion, and compliance with all airworthiness requirements
- Effectively communicate audit results (both written and oral) and recommend corrective actions, as applicable
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective / preventive actions
- Develop policies / procedures in order to maintain KF manuals
- Identify, initiate, recommend or provide solutions to quality problems through designated channels
- May investigate and process SMS Incidents Reports related to YHM
- Liaise with Customers to confirm technical records and signing authority
- Liaise with Transport Canada to obtain flight permits and validations
- Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have experience related to the audit scope activities or internal or 3rd party audit training acceptable to the QA ManagerA valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or applicable experience would be considered an assetMinimum 5 years’ experience with technical activities of similar complexity to those undertaken by the companyMust have an understanding of the Canadian Aviation RegulationsPreferably have experience writing reports and interpreting standardsComputer skills – Word and Excel programsMust have good communication skills, both written and oralMust be able to multitaskMust be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be willing to contribute as a team participantMust be willing and able to travel occasionallyWORKS CLOSELY WITH

SALARY
The wage band is level 9, $73,000-91,000. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note : The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
