Our FYidoctors - Markham clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy! This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive patient experience.
• Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality.
• Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting with the selection of frames to suit their aesthetic and performance needs.
• Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist.
• Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments for returning patients.
• Placing contact lens orders and assisting with fittings.
• Communicating with patients in person, by phone and by email.
• Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties.
• Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, billing and payments.
