Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience (worked or student practicum) performing phlebotomy, ECG, and urinalysis within the last 2 years. Completion of an accredited urinalysis course including theory and practical. Completion of an accredited ECG course including theory and practical.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience using EPIC Beaker and Rover is strongly preferred. Experience within the last 2 years with data entry, specimen processing and handling is preferred. Experience using SPECTRE is beneficial.
