The Site Quality Assurance Specialist is mobilised to one of our job sites in Canada. He ensures superior quality of our equipment’s installation by following the installation manuals, standards and rigorous processes.
He will be working in a team which consists of Site Manager, Supervisors, administrators, Quality Assurance specialists and Health-Safety-Environment officer.
The size of the team and the duration of the site varies depending on the project scope. The role is a mix of working in the site office documenting the work and working directly on the site to ensure work is performed as expected.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role :
- Implement and maintain Andritz Quality Assurance System on site;
- Ensure quality requirements are followed at site according to Installation Manuals;
- Local contact with customer and authorities for all quality matters;
- Inspections follow-up according to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP);
- Reception of material at site with inventory database and tracking system;
- Perform and / or witness inspections in coordination with customer and site team;
- Initiate and follow-up on non-conformities;
- Collect quality records and elaborate final quality documentation;
- Collaborate with Installation Supervisors to ensure work is performed in compliance with Installation Manuals requirements;
- Contribute to overall quality and excellence in execution of Engineered Machinery projects.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience in a similar role;
- Passion for Quality and integrity;
- General knowledge on mechanical measurement devices;
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
- Knowledge of CAD Software an asset;
- Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment, an asset;
- On site Safety training an asset;
- Effective communication skills French & English (oral and written);
- Self-driven, resourceful, rigorous;
- Ability to analyze data;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule.
