Lab Admin

Location : 33 Commerce Valley Drive East; Markham, Ontario

Contract : 12+ Months

Work Type : 100% Onsite; Ready to work on rotation (shifts on need basis)

Educational Requirements : High school pass out – Minimum

Years of Experience : 5 to 8 yrs

Technical Experience :

Know basic computer hardware asset knowledge
Have worked in data center labs
Must be able to lift heavy weights and stand for long hours
Rack and stacking experience with cabling, configuration, setup, troubleshooting

Detailed Job Description (Responsibilities) :

Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers

Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco layer 2 networking equipment

Troubleshoot, test, and perform quality assurance of server hardware

Professionally resolve hardware issues via support tickets

Comfortably lift weights (~50 lbs)

Can stand for long hours on ladders

Ready to travel on need basis

Desired Experience :

Operating system installation – Windows Server, Linux, Unix

Advanced cabling knowledge, including port mapping and cable type purposes

Basic hardware troubleshooting and logical problem resolution

Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment (a plus)

Experience with RAID levels (a plus)

Web server and database installation experience (a plus)

Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship

Must be willing to learn quickly, multitask, and work in a fast‑paced environment
