Position Overview :

We are seeking for Container Terminal Security Officers who will work alongside other port-related and logistics services. This position requires strong situational awareness, adherence to strict protocols, and a commitment to confidentiality and safety.

Relocation Bonus! We are offering a $2,500 relocation bonus to successful candidates hired for this role before March 31, 2026.

Bonus is subject to terms, including a one-year minimum commitment to full-time work in this position.

Key Responsibilities :

Anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns

Static and mobile patrolling the facility regularly

Ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only

Writing detailed incident reports

Complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to maintain site integrity and security

Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels

Enforce site regulations and ensure compliance with security procedures

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner

Complete accurate and detailed incident and activity reports

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence at all times

Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services as required

Qualifications :

Please note that applicants seeking employment at the terminal must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance as identified by the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program.

Valid BC Security License

Basic First Aid or be willing to obtain it

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.

Skills and Abilities :

Have strong communication skills

Good problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure.

Discretion when handling confidential and private information.

Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
