We are looking for a market-sensitive Product Developer to drive product selection, optimization, and improvement for the Canadian market. This role is buyer-focused rather than purely technical , combining market insights, online channel analytics, and close collaboration with our headquarters to ensure the right products reach the right channels at the right time.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend products that are best suited for the Canadian market, using market trends, sales performance, and channel data.
- Attend online product trade shows and selection meetings with HQ (including evening sessions as needed) and translate insights into clear product selection outcomes.
- Own product and inventory reporting , including aging status and inventory levels, to support marketing, sales, and promotional planning.
- Analyze online channel performance using channel analytics tools to inform assortment decisions, sales cycle planning, and shipment recommendations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product issue reporting , clearly communicating risks and collaborating with HQ to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide market-driven feedback and improvement suggestions on existing products, informed by consumer trends and performance data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, supply chain, warehouse, customer service, and leadership teams to execute effectively.
What You Bring
Strong market sensitivity to online products , including pricing, features, content, and competitive positioning.Patient, efficient, and highly organized, with the ability to take over and improve existing processes, reports, and workflows .Proactive learner who adapts quickly to new product categories, systems, and tools.Comfortable working with online channel analysis software and performance data.Proven ability in cross-functional collaboration and product planning within a fast-paced e-commerce environment.Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.Willingness to attend evening meetings and online trade shows when required.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field, with strong commercial awareness.Experience in Product Development, Buying, Merchandising, or a related e-commerce role.Strong Excel and Word skills; ERP experience (e.g., Oracle) is an asset.Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.Why Join Aosom Canada?
