SAP BTP Administrator

Our Toronto-based client is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Administrator Consultant to join their project immediately. This role will focus on the management and maintenance of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ensuring optimal performance, security, and integration of various services.

The position is fully remote, allowing candidates to be based anywhere in Canada.

• Provision and manage global accounts, sub-accounts, and environments within SAP BTP.
• Ensure appropriate configuration of account hierarchies and access controls.
• Service Configuration and Management :
• Configure and manage various services on the SAP BTP, optimizing performance and ensuring high availability.
• Administer the SAP Integration Suite, including API management and integration flows, to facilitate seamless data exchange.
• User and Role Management :
• Manage user access and roles, implementing secure access controls across the platform.
• Utilize Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) for managing user identities and provisioning.
• Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) :
• Administer and configure Cloud ALM tools to streamline project and application management processes.
• Oversee lifecycle management, ensuring efficient project tracking and deployment.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization :
• Monitor the performance and availability of the SAP BTP environment, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement performance tuning measures to enhance service efficiency.
• Security Management :
• Ensure the security of the BTP platform by implementing best practices, conducting security assessments, and responding to potential threats.
• Regularly review security configurations and access controls to align with organizational policies.
• Frontend Development :
• Develop user interfaces using SAP Fiori, UI5, and modern frameworks such as React and Vue.js to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with design teams to create responsive and intuitive interfaces.
• Backend Development :
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Java, ensuring robust and scalable application performance.
• Integrate backend services with front-end applications and external systems as required.
• SAP CDS and HANA :
• Create and manage SAP CDS views for efficient data modeling and management within the SAP HANA database.
• Optimize data access and reporting through effective use of HANA database capabilities.
• SAP BTP Development :
• Utilize the SAP BTP platform for custom development solutions, including the configuration and management of API management features.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement innovative solutions leveraging SAP BTP services.
• Runtime Environment Management :
• Work with runtime environments such as Cloud Foundry and Kyma to deploy, manage, and scale applications effectively.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in application deployment and management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience managing and maintaining SAP Business Technology Platform, including familiarity with SAP Integration Suite and API management.
• Strong understanding of SAP CDS views and SAP HANA Database.
• Proficiency in frontend development languages (SAP Fiori, UI5, React, Vue.js) and backend technologies (Node.js, Java).
• Knowledge of managing applications in Cloud Foundry and Kyma environments.
• Experience implementing security best practices and performance monitoring in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges effectively.
