Salary : $70,000 - $90,000 - dependent on experience

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, this in-office positionis responsible fordeveloping and implementing training activities and programs. You will design,executeandfacilitatelearning and development programs. This position ensuresemployees,and our Trade Partners receive the necessary training to complete their jobs, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organization.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Support new and existing training programs.
  • Plan, develop, create,maintainand update a variety of creative and engaging training materials suited to the learnersuch aspractical activities, guides, manuals, job aids, resources, videos, e-learning modules, and other multimedia resources.
  • Identifylearner needs,objectivesand outcomes.
  • Produce outlines and storyboards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders to gather information and review training materials.
  • Build andmaintainrelationships across the company and with external parties.
  • Research and select from existing and external content.
  • Deliver andfacilitatein-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Keep up to date on adult learning best practices.
  • IDEAL CANDIDATE

    Proven experience developinglearning experiences, using instructionaland visualdesignprinciples and adult learningmethodologies.

  • Recognized education / formal training in Education, Adult Learning, InstructionalDesignor a related discipline (Degree or Certificate).
  • 3 - 5 years of combined experience in developing training, ideally in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to transform complex ideas into simple conceptsand communicate them effectively to a variety of learners.
  • Focus on leanerneeds,outcomesand performance improvement.
  • Advancedproficiencyin MS Office,graphic,audio,video editingsoftwareandcourse authoring tools (Articulate).
  • Strong communicationand organizational skills.
  • Comfortable workingwith changing prioritieson multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must be a person of integrity, capable of excellent judgement and decision-making skills, showing the utmost discretion in the tone, words, and imagery used to convey information.
  • Embrace content iterations to improve and streamline.
  • Willingness to travel within AB and BC to provide onsite training.
  • Experience with training in the construction industry is considered an asset.
