Job descriptionResponsibilities Daily tasks and projects will differ from team to team but overall, the Quantitative New Grad Analyst can expect to be involved in : Participating in several ad-hoc projects to gain working knowledge of AIMCo’s assets# Ideal Candidate Qualifications Hands-on experience with programming languages - Python, SQL, VBA, Power BIProficiency in programming using large data setsStrong statistical background and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)Prior experience with conducting financial research, preferably using Bloomberg or Capital IQ is an asset. Experience or exposure into one or more of the areas : data visualization, actuarial studies, CFA candidacy, student leadership experienceis preferredKnowledge of investments, economics, and asset managementis an assetSelf-motivated and proactive. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, able to take initiative, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver results. Success at the end of your 18-month term will be determined by the undertaking and completion of specified daily tasks whilecollaboratingalongsidethe team, sharing your ideas, contributing to several ongoing projects, and assisting the department with implementing and improving process efficiencies. There is potential for extension and / or full-time employment once rotation is complete.
