LOCATION : TORONTO

Summary of Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst will analyze and make determination on approval, conditioning and rejection of non-prime retail and offerings according to company policy and procedure to minimize risk while providing the highest level of service to the dealer body and assisting in the sale of Yamaha product.

The successful candidate must be available Monday-Saturday on shift rotation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, verify and adjudicate credit applications according to company guidelines within turnaround time objectives. Investigate and grant credit on applications received from Dealers through the LOS System (Compass) by reviewing customers’ credit history, debt service and program guidelines.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions on credit with dealers to ensure an acceptable level of risk.
  • Cultivate and preserve strong relationships with dealership personnel while maintaining decision turnaround time at or below company objectives.

Provide exceptional front line support to dealers by professionally answering questions pertaining to credit decisions and current programs.

  • Advise management of any irregularities or problems pertaining to retail offerings and monitors both consumer and dealer trends for adverse issues.
  • Work the credit and income queue workflows to ensure processing efficiency and accuracy

Education Requirements and / or Experience Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma : BA / diploma desired or relevant work-related experience
  • Years of Experience : 3+ years
  • Type of Experience : Credit adjudication Non-Prime

Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 3 days working at Head Office
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently and / or remotely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and negotiating skills.
  • Customer Service orientated and solutions-focused with dealers and internal staff.
  • Able to analyze consumer and commercial credit bureaus.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, resourceful, and self-reliant.
  • Ability to learn quickly and use a multitude of PC applications and programs.
  • Must be a team player, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and willing to work overtime as required.
  • Non-Prime Powersport, Marine or Auto financing credit underwriting experience is required.
  • Bi-lingual in French & English is preferred.
