Programmer / Analyst Using Leading Edge Tech!

Our client is publicly traded world-leader in the manufacture, distribution and marketing of a variety of medical instruments, devices and other products to enhance the quality of life for millions of people around the world.

Working in their small internal IT department, you’ll be using leading-edge technologies to develop a variety of analytics, reporting and other business applications.

To excel in this role, you have exceptional interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills. You have a problem-solving mentality and a strong customer-service attitude. You’re a well-rounded individual involved in other activities outside of technical work! Please note that this company is located in the new city of Hamilton and is not readily accessible by public transportation – you will need a reliable car!

Responsibilities

• Architecture of solutions for our client's internal customers in Sales and Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resources
• Develop, test and implement solutions using a variety of Microsoft products including Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005, SharePoint and InfoPath
• Participate in global redevelopment of our client's website and subsequent redevelopment of their Canadian website
• Development of handheld solutions for our employees out in the field
• SharePoint Portal Server intranet website maintenance and customization
• Document new and existing systems
• Analyze day to day technical challenges and present timely solutions
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network
• Other duties as assigned
