AZ/DZ Hydrovac Operator
GFL Environmental is looking for a Hydrovac Operator to support our Commercial lines of business out of our Bradford site.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate Vacuum / Hydrovac Truck.
- Operate Box Truck or Tractor Trailer.
- Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.
- Line snaking, Drain and Pipe Inspections as required.
- Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop.
- Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
- Collection of hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents
- Digging holes and trenches
- Securing of open excavation
- Operating equipment and tools
- Site preparation and clean-up as directed
- Securing and safely loading / unloading vehicles with supplies
- Secure work area and set up traffic control
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies :
- Valid DZ or AZ license.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Working hours anywhere from around 5 : 30 AM - 6 : 30 PM Monday - Friday with on-call requirements once every few months on Saturday
- Comfortable with 80% labour and 20% driving.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Professional / mature demeanor under stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
- Overtime as required.
