The Position

The Director, Global Procurement will define the company’s procurement strategy by setting up and supervising three teams : strategic procurement, procurement operations and supplier relations.

This collaborative role involves working, among other things, with operations, quality assurance and sales.

The person will mainly be responsible for :

  • Developing direct cost reduction strategies for factories around the world;
  • Leading spend analysis and contracting with key suppliers;
  • Integrating new suppliers;
  • Creating a supplier portal to facilitate the exchange of information (documents, purchase orders, updates, deliveries, invoices);
  • Managing supplier performance via a dashboard to achieve delivery and quality objectives;
  • Leading a decentralized team to identify and manage suppliers, and supporting local site purchasing teams.

If the following describes you :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Operations and Logistics Management (GOL), or any other related field;
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least five (5) years in international supplier management (Asia, Europe, United States, etc.);
  • Minimum of five (5) years and a management role;
  • APICS certification, an asset;
  • Be familiar with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP);
  • Be a Canadian citizen and meet all the requirements of the Controlled Goods Program (CGP);
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and oral.
