The FTG Calgary team is looking to add a Hardware Engineer to our team focused on enhancing the capabilities of FTG’s avionics products and developing new solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on electronic hardware design, testing, and support, while collaborating with other teams to deliver high-quality products for the aerospace industry.

What you’ll be doing
- Sustaining engineering activities for existing FTG products, including design updates to replace obsolete components, reliability improvements, and failure investigations including root cause analysis
- Design, development, and testing of new products
- Planning and carrying out aviation hardware related testing (DO-160G and other applicable standards)
- Compliance testing to meet aerospace industry standards
- Review work of others to ensure quality
- Work equally effectively independently or within the Products & Technology team
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering5 years of relevant hardware engineering experienceFluent in English with effective written and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal skills and communication skillsStrong analog and digital electronic design skillsComfortable with lab test equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer)Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively while maintaining high attention to detailProactive and solutions drivenTakes initiativeExperience with technical writingAssets (not required but would be looked at as differentiators)
