Controller

Overview

Our client is a $500M+ Canadian success story, located in the Greater Hamilton area and they are looking to hire a Controller on a contract basis for an initial term of 18 months. This is an in office 5 days per week role, where staff need your mentoring and management / oversight and development.

Responsibilities

As the Controller, you will oversee a team of transactional accountants and be responsible for all the day to day and period close accounting, reporting, tax and regulatory fillings, etc. Additionally, you will lead the planning and reforecasting functions and costing / inventory management.

Qualifications

• CPA with 5+ years relevant hands on experience as both a doer and reviewer
• Proven ability to get into the office 5 days per week
• Solid communication skills [written and verbal].

Compensation

Base pay range : CA$50.00 / hr - CA$65.00 / hr
