Job Description :

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our growing team in Ottawa. If you have a minimum of 2 years of expertise in the maintenance and repair of bulldozers and excavators, this is your chance to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of heavy machinery for large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment lubrication.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure machinery complies with safety and operational standards.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime of heavy equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service records and report any major issues to the maintenance manager.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, specializing in bulldozers and excavators.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
