We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our growing team in Ottawa. Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment lubrication.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct inspections to ensure machinery complies with safety and operational standards.
- Replace or repair defective parts and systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime of heavy equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records and report any major issues to the maintenance manager.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, specializing in bulldozers and excavators.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training is preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
