About The Position

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Material Handler will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

  • Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to and from the processing department
  • Assist in the movement of material in the plant / property by use of crane, forklift, tow motor, etc.
  • Ensure safe work practices are adhered to
  • Load planning and building
  • Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters standards
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are operated with care
  • Accurately fill out all required paperwork and ensure records remain up to date
  • Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned

Work Location

  • Hamilton, ON
  • Working condition is primarily outdoors
  • Position Requirements

  • Previous experience operating all‑terrain forklifts and overhead cranes strongly preferred
  • Previous experience organizing shipping documents
  • Strong problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
