Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is looking for a Technical Fire Alarm Specialist to join our team in Owen Sound, ON. Responsibilities:
- Assemble, wire, test, program, and trouble shoot microprocessor-based Edwards fire alarm systems
- Program, test, troubleshoot, and adjust systems as directed
- Interconnect assemblies using proper wiring techniques
- Pull parts from stock for projects and maintain accurate records of stock requisitions and part shipments
- Maintain work and stock areas in a clean and organized manner
- Observe all industrial and safety rules
- Responsible for verifying projects are assembled as per design details and regulatory standards
- Use of hand tools and test equipment to perform job duties (multimeters, soldering iron, wire strippers, etc.)
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- CFAA considered a strong asset
- 2 years' experience in fire alarm systems, electronics or a related field
- Post-Secondary Education in Electronic Technician Program, Power Engineering, Electrical or equivalent
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Programs, and basic PLC programming
Starting Wage - $59,000
