Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator
Our client, a leading organization in the industrial sector, is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional with a proactive approach to risk management and compliance, particularly within construction or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and oversee HSE programs to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
Deliver occupational health & safety training and ensure employees adhere to safety protocols.
Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Maintain and update critical safety documentation, including Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and Job Procedures (SJPs).
Facilitate Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and liaise with regulatory bodies.
Track and report on key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Support new employee orientations with a focus on workplace health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience :
2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role within a construction or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of workplace safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification preferred.
Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with safety management systems.
