Library Board Officer

Responsibilities :
Manage daily operations of the City Librarian’s office and administrative tasks for the Library Board.
Review and edit Library Board reports and prepare briefing materials for meetings.
Oversee Library Board minutes, track directives, and ensure implementation of recommendations.
Analyze Library Board and Council agendas to identify operational impacts and coordinate responses.
Conduct research, manage special projects, and draft reports for the City Librarian’s office.
Act as liaison between the Library Board, Council, and City Librarian’s office, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication.
Handle correspondence, coordinate speeches and presentations, and manage HR tasks for office staff.
Supervise and develop support staff while prioritizing workload to maintain office efficiency.
Qualifications :
Experience in senior administrative roles.
Strong understanding of Library policies, systems, and Board operations.
Proven research, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with diverse stakeholders.
Skilled in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Discretion in handling confidential matters.
Supervisory and staff development experience.
Knowledge of municipal operations.
