Welcome to the Extraordinary. The Hazelton Hotel Toronto is comprised of 77 suites in a limestone building that has been designed to set the standard for five-star hotels in Canada. Located in the heart of fashionable Yorkville, guests will be steps away from the luxury shops of Bloor Street, and many of the country's finest art galleries, world-class museums, and theatres. The oversized accommodations are designed by internationally renowned designers Yabu Pushelberg and feature the latest in technology and communication.
Responsibilities :
- Reporting to the Security + Loss Prevention Manager
- Conduct regular patrolling of hotel property and monitor surveillance systems to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and hotel assets.
- Maintain radio communication with department leads concerning safety, security, and hotel operations.
- Enforce hotel policies regarding access control measures by verifying the identity / credentials while creating key card access, visitor registration, and parking regulations.
- Reporting and investigating occurrences of all incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities in a timely and accurate manner. To collaborate with the Security + Loss Prevention Manager and law enforcement when necessary.
- Manage crowds, and control access, and safety by providing directions and assistance during events, conferences, or gatherings held within the hotel premises.
- Operating as a member of the ‘Emergency Response Team’ by taking appropriate actions to control the situation, mitigate risks, provide aid, and contact emergency services to ensure that assistance is received when necessary.
- Monitor inventory to prevent unauthorized removal of hotel property to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
- Reconcile relevant purchase orders (POs) upon delivery of goods and manage the laneway to ensure accessibility at the loading dock area at all times.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Security + Loss Prevention Manager or General Manager
Qualification :
Valid Ontario Security LicenseCurrent First Aid and C.P.R. certificatesSecurity Diploma or equivalent post-secondary education would be an asset.Have good knowledge of CCTV systems, alarm systemsExcellent organization skills, and written and oral communication skills.Proven experience preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment, or in a related field, an assetHas a professional presentation and the ability to provide excellent guest and employee service.Available to work evenings and occasional weekends (when required)Our people are what makes us different.
