Job descriptionHeavy Duty Red Seal Certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a diesel mechanic. Experience with diagnostic software is an asset. Computer literacy and the ability to learn new software systems. Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria as per company standards. Competitive hourly wage of $38-$40 . We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, ensuring their optimal performance. You will be expected to work independently and efficiently while maintaining safety standards and adhering to company policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including CNG, gas, and electric-powered vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the operational efficiency of all equipment.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks such as generating reports, creating work orders, and ordering parts.
- Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner and procure required parts for each job.
- Review mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedules effectively.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
- Provide and maintain personal tools required for the job.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times.
- Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements by reviewing technical manuals and attending relevant training seminars.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
