Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered CT Technologist to perform highquality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures. The successful candidate will ensure precise diagnostic results prioritize patient safety and comfort and maintain the highest standards of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures based on physician orders.
Prepare and position patients ensuring comfort and explaining the procedure clearly.
Administer contrast media as required following safety and regulatory protocols.
Evaluate CT images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards for patients staff and oneself.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records ensuring compliance with organizational and provincial regulations.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on CT imaging systems.
Stay updated on advancements in CT imaging technology and best practices.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent.

Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) .

Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or equivalent.

Specialized CT certification or training is preferred.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in CT imaging is an asset.

Familiarity with CT systems from vendors like Siemens GE or Philips.

Skills and Abilities

Proficient in all aspects of CT imaging including crosssectional anatomy and pathology.

Strong technical skills and attention to detail in image acquisition and analysis.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure a positive patient experience.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Organizational and timemanagement skills in a fastpaced environment.

Work Environment

Hospital or diagnostic imaging center setting.

May require shift work including evenings weekends and holidays.

Physical demands include standing for long periods and assisting with patient mobility.
