Job Description

We are looking for candidates dedicated to their work, with a taste for getting involved, taking on challenges and doing things well.

Qualifications required :

College diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

Member of the Order of Educators of Ontario in Good standing.

Experience in a childcare center.

Criminal record, vulnerable sector up to date.

First aid course adapted to early childhood.

Good French and English spoken and written.

Skills sought :

Adopt behavior that inspires the confidence of children and parents.

Act based on the policies and procedures of London French Day Care (LFDC);

Have a team spirit and able to work without supervision.

Ensure a welcoming environment for children and parents.

Promote the overall development of each child.

Know how to integrate children with special needs.

Ensure good management of classroom resources.

Tasks and main responsibilities :

Prepare and implement early childhood education programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of each child.

Direct children’s activities by telling them stories, giving them the opportunity to express their creativity through art, through role playing, music, physical activity and through educational corners according to interest of each child.

Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety and well-being of children.

Assess the children’s abilities, skills, interests and needs, and discuss their progress or difficulties with the supervisor and their parents.

Guide and help children so that they adopt good eating and hygiene habits.

Establish relationships with center colleagues and the entire LFDC team.

Supervise the volunteers and students placed in the class in his charge.

Participate in staff meetings and training organized by the center supervisor or the general director of LFDC.

Accomplish any task that may be requested by the center supervisor or the general director.

We are looking for candidates dedicated to their work, with a taste for getting involved, taking on challenges and doing things well. Only selected candidates will be called for an interview.
