Overview :
The Quality Specialist is responsible for monitoring and reporting construction non-conformities on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project while ensuring compliance with project agreements and applicable specifications. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of the Project's quality processes and ensuring the effective operation of the internal Quality Management System (QMS).
The role involves working closely with Construction Managers and other project team members to identify potential quality issues, providing recommendations for issue management, and developing systems to track observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions. The position requires regular communication with project leadership and a strong focus on maintaining compliance with relevant codes, standards, job specifications, and regulations.
Key responsibilities include preparing and conducting audits, liaising with technical, construction, and commercial teams, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The specialist will also support the province's Quality Audit Program, coordinate inspections and audits, and ensures that all required quality audits are conducted, documented, and followed up on with appropriate actions.
