About the Opportunity

• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and annual close process in accordance with company requirements

Prepare and post necessary journal entries pertaining to A / R, A / P, Payroll and taxes.

Ensure that the appropriate accounting and internal control policies, procedures and practices are implemented to enable the preparation of financial statements.

Proactively identifies opportunities for streamlining accounts payable processes and recommends solutions.

Prepare complex credit card and payroll reconciliations.

Act as an internal financial consultant to different areas of the business

Prepare and / or update business process & procedural documentation About You

University Degree with an accounting designation (CPA preferred).

4-5 years of relevant financial accounting and reporting experience

Prior experience reviewing / overseeing A / P is required.

Advanced / expert Excel skills

Experience with Oracle is a strong asset.

Knowledge of advanced accounting concepts, financial statement presentation and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP, in addition to A / R, A / P and General Ledger

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills

Detail oriented and takes initiative

Confident and effective communication (written & verbal)
