Come help us transform everyday travel into extraordinary experiences. ABOUT THE ROLE : We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accounting Analyst to join our finance department on a permanent basis. The Senior Accounting Analyst will oversee accounts payable, accounting, and reporting tasks for our fast-growing company. This role will report to the OPEX Manager of Plusgrade and work closely with the Plusgrade Finance team. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING : - Review accounting records and monthly reporting, working closely with the FP&A team to understand variances from actuals to the plan.- Prepare / review accruals ensuring sufficient documentation and calculations- Review and approve vendor bills and journal entries related to operational expenses, and ensure correct POs, GLs, and departments are used.- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely payment of bills and invoices.- Prepare and analyze various Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a monthly basis as required.- Assist with financial close procedures for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.- Work on special projects based on departmental and company needs, including system and policy implementations and other ad-hoc requests.- Manage prepaid accounts, including monthly amortization, reconciliation, and analysis.- Work collaboratively with other functional areas and departments on common projects and tasks.- Implement and enforce accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines. - Process and verify employee expense reports accurately, adhering to corporate expense policies, and updating the expense report platform (Navan).- Assist with auditors and external requests.- Help manage cash and credit cards. YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH : - 5+ years of experience in a similar function or role.- University or college degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A professional accounting designation (CPA or future CPA) is preferred.- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel) and Google Suite.- Superior communication skills with the ability to work across all levels.- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.- Ability to analyze and resolve issues independently and present recommendations to a supervisor.- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure within tight timelines.- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize many tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude.- Cooperative and service-oriented attitude.- Proactive approach to accomplishing objectives and goals.- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and FloQast is an asset.- Experience in an audit accounting firm is an asset.
