Job descriptionAdvanced degree in either electrical engineering, computer sciences or software engineering Be a registered Canadian Patent Agent Possess a minimum of 3 years experience as a Patent Agent Previous experience in a law firm, IP boutique or in-house setting Possess excellent drafting skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills US Patent Agent qualification would be an asset
About the Opportunity
Our client, a National law firm, has a need for a registered Patent Agent with a background in electrical engineering.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Drafting of patents in the electrical field
- Patent prosecution
- Business development
- Possible litigation support when required
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
Bilingualism an asset but not required
About the Job
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Patent Agency unit within a thriving National law firm. An existing book of business would be an asset but is not required. A group of two or more Agents would also be considered. Salary will range between $150K and $200K, depending on experience. All applications will be held in the strictest of confidence.
