Nanny Wanted - Babysitting Provider Wanted In Guelph

Hi there my name is Dayna. I have been employed as a graphic designer for 20 years. My spouse passed away from cancer a few years ago and since then I have been in need of after school care for my son from 3 : 30 - 6..., when I return from work. Many university students have helped over the years, but as their schedule and availability changes I am often looking for new help. Even if you did not have everyday available I would still be interested in days you did have open.

Duties would be preparing him a snack, ensuring he uses the toilet and if he wants playing and reading to him. Taking him to a park or a Library is also a possibility. He can also watch TV or play on the computer. There would also be opportunities for care in the summer.

A current police check would be required.

Someone with experience working with children with special needs is preferred, but not necessary. My son is friendly and mobile, but has not developed at the same pace as other children his age. He seems younger than his 14 years. He is currently non verbal due to a condition called Apraxia of Speech, which means the signals from his brain to his muscles do not always connect making it difficult to speak., He mainly communicates through gestures, some words and with a iPad communication device.

Please do not be scared off by my sons special needs before actually meeting him. He is a sweet, gentle boy.

We live in a nice, safe neighbourhood with access to transit if required.
