Project Manager - Finish Carpentry
Our Client, is an installer of custom finish carpentry for commercial, institutional and residential customers across Canada.
As their national business continues to expand, they are looking to hire a Project Manager in Edmonton , Alberta to oversee multiple construction projects in major metropolitan centers in Alberta and parts of the BC interior.
Can you picture yourself managing teams on renovation projects and new builds within malls for retail clothing or departments of grocery stores.
What about visiting your crews as they work on the beautiful lobby of a brand-new condominium tower.
We are looking for a smart and ambitious Project Management professional that can learn the technical construction side of this business.
In this role you will :
- Work closely with customers, material providers, sub-contractors and trades people.
- Review job timelines, oversee budgets, expedite materials and manage labor needs.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all team members
- Frequent travel to job sites for updates and progress reporting
Specifically, the successful Candidate will have :
- Strong sense of accountability with an entrepreneurial spirit to own projects and assignments.
- Previous experience in finish carpentry, millwork etc.
- Preference for post-secondary education or certificate in Project Management, Business, Construction
- strong time and resource management skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- a passion and prior experience going above and beyond
- excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
