Position Summary :
Ainsworth is currently seeking HVAC Technicians to join our growing team in Surrey / Vancouver, BC. The role involves assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, products, and systems.
Responsibilities :
- Represent Ainsworth professionally, courteously, and with excellent customer service on every call, acting as a proud ambassador for our company.
- Read, interpret, create, and maintain drawings and specifications.
- Install air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.
- Overhaul and service air conditioning and heating units and systems.
- Repair, replace, and adjust worn or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water and vacuum pumps.
- Repair and adjust valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heating and air conditioning units and systems.
- Install motors, thermostats, and humidistats.
- Instruct customers on proper care and maintenance of equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern equipment and regulations.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
- Perform all duties safely, in compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, and legislation.
- Follow the company's Quality System procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Provide support and backup for administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from a certified institution.Valid driver's license.Current Certificate of Qualification.Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and trade practices.Understanding of HVAC / R codes, standards, and regulations.Awareness of trade hazards and safety precautions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Outstanding customer service abilities.We appreciate all applications; only candidates under consideration will be contacted.
The hourly wage range is $15-$55.
