Financial Controller
We are conducting an exclusive search on behalf of an international distribution and manufacturing business, seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AR / AP, international trade finance, financial analysis, and operational reporting. While consolidated financial statements are prepared by the parent company, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial data to support that process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely collections, vendor payments, and accurate reconciliations.
- Manage financial operations related to international trade, including import / export documentation, duties, freight charges, and compliance with cross-border financial requirements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, margin analysis, and performance dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Provide all required financial data and supporting schedules to the parent company to facilitate financial statement preparation.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and landed-cost tracking for imported lighting products.
- Ensure internal controls, financial policies, and compliance standards are upheld.
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve financial processes.
- Utilize and help optimize the company’s ERP system and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks or related accounting platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or international accounting designation preferred.5+ years of accounting or controllership experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products.Strong working knowledge of AR / AP management, international trade finance, and operational reporting.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and QuickBooks.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Job Details
