JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for 15 Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team to support critical projects in the nuclear industry.
Status : Contract 40 hours a week
Working Conditions : Hybrid or Remote (experience dependent)
Education Level : Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering
Base Location : Pickering or Mississauga
Deadline to Apply : January 31, 2025
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide engineering design, assessment, technical advice, guidance, consultation, and other services to clients to deal with problems and projects of high complexity. This includes preparation of drawings, design bills of materials, calculations, equipment specifications, and other engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Assist in technical proposal development.
- Establish and utilize contacts with suppliers and manufacturers and in the nuclear industry as a resource for problem-solving.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and government agencies associated with station work activities required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.Minimum 5 years experience working in the Canadian nuclear industry.Working knowledge with the following codes and standards : CSA N285.0, CSA B51, ASME BPVC Section III & VIII, and ASME B31.1.ASME BPVC Section III App. XXIII qualification is considered an asset.OPG Design Engineer qualification is considered an asset.Canadian nuclear security clearance is considered an asset.
