Senior Data Analyst / Developer

Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior Data Analyst Developer for their ServiceNow Program that will proactively work towards the platform’s stabilization , strategic growth / functionality road-mapping, and configuration of smaller scale processes in support of process improvements and Employee Experience.

Assignment Duties

  • Designs and develops comprehensive reports, dashboards, and analytics within the ServiceNow platform to provide insights into key ITSM metrics and performance indicators.
  • Assess the cleanliness, accuracy, and completeness of data within the ServiceNow platform, identifying and addressing data quality issues as needed.
  • Develop and implement data cleansing and standardization processes to ensure consistent and reliable data across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Support establishment of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of data within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Assist in data integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Support data migration initiatives, validating and transforming data as needed.
  • Develop workflows and forms of various complexity (ranging from simple to complex) as required.

Experience and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

3. ServiceNow ITSM and ITAM experience.

4. Experience in development of ServiceNow workflows and forms of various complexity (ranging from simple to complex) as required

5. Proficient in ServiceNow reporting and analytics capabilities, including Performance Analytics and Reporting APIs.

6. Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

7. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

8. Experience with data cleansing, harmonization, standardization, and quality assessment techniques.

9. Experience optimizing the performance of data-related processes within ServiceNow.

10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

12. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Deliverables

1. Prepare test plans, test cases, scenarios and results documents;

  • 5. Execute various types of technical tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, performance and user acceptance testing);
  • 6. Track problems, defects and issues within a large project;

7. Support data migration initiatives, validating and transforming data as needed
